Second World War air raid wardens post buit at the junction of Clarence Place with Rouge Lane, Gravesend. This one of a network of such posts for Gravesend. Its design and form are not known. It reported to a Civil Defence Control Cerntre in Gravesend. As such it was a local focus in the incident reporting chain for coordinating the emergency services in the event of the district suffering injury or damage resulting from an air raid. Its patrolling wardens also enforced blackout restrictions. The post was built in 1939, decommissioned by 1945 and probably demolished by 1948.
