Summary

Second World War air raid wardens post within private house premises at 1 and 3 Whitehill Road, Gravesend. It was one of a network of posts to serve Gravesend. It was established in 1939 but the nature of adaptations to the premises is unknown. It would have been decommissioned by no later than 1945 and the premises were demolished at an uncertain date post-war but thought to be 1965, and is now the site of a car park.
