Its design and form are unknown. It originated in 1939, to be decommissioned in 1945 and is thought to have been demolished around 1965.

Full Description

Second World War air raid wardens post on a local authority recreation ground, west of Cedar Road, Gravesend. It was one of a network of such posts to serve Gravesend. It reported to a civil defence control centre in Gravesend. As such it was a local focus in the incident reporting chain for coordinating the emergency services in the event of injury or damage resulting from an air raid. It was also a place from which patrolling wardens enforced blackout restrictions. Its design and form are not known. It originated in 1939, to be decommissioned at the end of the second World War in Europe in 1945. It is thought to have been demolished around 1965.
