Summary

Second World War public air raid shelter on the SE corner of the junction of Vale Road with Colyer Road, Northfleet. It was a small concrete-lined trench shelter built c. 1939 and decommissioned in 1945. It appears to have been demolished in about 1960 to make way for the construction of a new police station.

Full Description

Second World War public air raid shelter on the SE corner of the junction of Vale Road with Colyer Road, Northfleet. It was a concrete-lined trench shelter built c. 1939. It appears to have been L-shaped, with legs 12m and 6 m long. It was demolished in about 1960 to make way for the construction and surround of a new police station.
