Full Description
Second World War private (family) air raid shelter formerly in the rear garden of 1 Bunney Hill, Shorne. It was a shallow concrete lined and roofed trench about 3 m long and 1 m wide, covered with the earth which had been dug out during its excavation. It originated in 1939, would have been abandoned for shelter purposes in 1945, was extant in 1995 but is thought to have been removed in 2016.

'Cut and Cover' construction family air raid shelter. Formed of concrete revetted trench and concrete roof covered with a low mound of earth. Single entrance at N side of E end. Traces of timber duck boarding on floor. Situated in rear garden of 1 Bunny Hill, Shorne. Site visit by VTC Smith 14/9/95
