Summary

Second World War Decontamination Centre established at the Northfleet Council depot, off Springhead Road, Northfleet. The nature of the building so used is unknown and although there are several remaining structures which would have been present during the wartime period, none can be identified as having been used for decontamination purposes. Sleeping accommodation for air raid precautions personnel was also provided at the depot. The decontamination centre would have been established in 1939, decommissioned in 1945 but what happened to it after that is unknown.
