Full Description
Second World War park for civil defence vehicles in the grounds of the Railway Tavern at Sole Street, Nr. Cobham, Kent. There appears to have been provision for 16 vehicles. There was a First Aid Post also present, for the staff of which, it was agreed to provide splinter-proof air raid shelter protection. There may have been a presence of fire appliances also. The facility appears to have originated at the end of 1939 but its longevity is unknown. Details of any structures on the site are also unknown.
