Summary

Second World War chalk tunnel public air raid shelter running north-south under the High Street, Northfleet, Kent. This appears to have been converted from a tunnel connecting the ground to the north side of the High Street with a chalk quarry to the south. It is thought to have originated in 1939, to have been decommissioned in 1945 and still to exist.
