Camps A and B, two of five camps (see sites 10291- 3) established from the summer of 1942 to provide basic military skills for all officer candidates prior to their attendance at Officer Training Units for their selected or chosen corps. The camp consisted of training and accommodation huts and vehicle parks, with roads and tracks linked to outlying practical training areas. The camps were abandoned in the Spring of 1946, became occupied by the homeless and demolished in 1955-6. Their sites were partly over built by the houises of Vigo Village and partly embraced within the Trosley Country Park in Tonbridge and Malling District. There are traces of military tracks and possibly areas occupied by huts in the country park.
