Full Description
Camp C of the Wrotham (Vigo) Pre-Officer Training Unit in the Silver Birch Farm area, Trosley, near Wrotham, Kent. This was one of 5 camps established (see sites 10290 and 2-3) in the Summer of 1942 for all officer candidates prior to their attendance at Officer Training Units for their selected or chosen corps. The camp consisted of training and accommodation huts and vehicle parks, enclosed within and around a circular road. There was an annexed parade ground. The camp was abandoned in the Spring of 1946, and became occupied by the homeless. It was later overbuilt by new housing.
