Probable Cold War telephone bunker in the basement of the telephone exchange in the NE angle of the junction of Green Lane with the A227 at Meopham, near Gravesend, Kent. During the Cold War, many - or most - telephone exchanges were provided with a protected room and rest accommodation for operatives to ensure the continuation of emergency telephone services in the event of the disruption of normal services as a result of war. There is a possible emergency exit on the eastern side of the building. No other details are known.
