A shipyard built during WWI to construct barges. This was part of Richborough Port, (MWX43487), a major WWI port serving allied troops on the Western Front. The facility appear to have been dismantled by WWII as there are no visible remains of it on aerial photographs of this date [e.g. 2]. Please see MWX43487 for details of the port as a whole.
