Summary
During The Second World War, 2 x 12 inch railway guns were stationed in Eythorne for a period of time. The 8th Battery, 2nd. Super Heavy Regiment, guns based in nearby tunnel. HQ at Eythorne Court. The Battery was to cover the coast in case of invasion. The 18 inch railway gun Boche-Buster reported here probably on practice camp or exercise.
