Summary

Type 24 pillbox and anti-tank pimple Summary from record MWX51517: A rectangular Second World War reinforced concrete thick-walled pillbox is visible as a building on aerial photographs. The pillbox is located on the east side of cauldham Lane, just north of Great Cauldham Farm. The pillbox was constructed to defend the point where an anti tank ditch (1533049) crossed Cauldham Lane. This site has been mapped from aerial photographs as part of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey NMP (Component 2).
