Concrete type 24 pillbox on crestline facing N. Narrow wall version with brick skin. Part of the defences off Lodge Hill magazine. (1)

This feature is recorded in the English Heritage report on the Second World War Stop Line in the Hoo Peninsula, part of the wider Hoo Peninsula study. The report states: "Second World War reinforced concrete Type 24 pillbox on crest line facing north. Not identified on photographs. The Defence of Britain Project notes it is in a hedgerow at the north-west corner of Wybornes Wood." (2)

Concrete type 24 pillbox on crest line facing N. Narrow wall version with brick skin. Part of the defences of Lodge Hill magazine. In hedgerow at NW corner of Wybornes Wood, High Halstow. (1)

The pillbox described in authority 1 falls within the area mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. No corresponding structure was identified on aerial photographs at the stated location. (2-3)
