Summary

At Dymchurch in c.1844-6, when the sea-wall was moved 150 yards inland, a cemetery along with Samian and much crude unbaked pottery was found in adjacent fields over several acres. The finds were made while digging for clay about 400m from Dymchurch along the New Romney road.

Full Description

At Dymchurch (name TR 1029) in the years 1844-6, when the sea-wall was moved 150 yards inland, a cemetery, samian and much crude unbaked pottery was found in adjacent fields over several acres. The finds were made while digging for clay about 400m from Dymchurch along the New Romney road. (1)
