Poor condition (roof blown in) type 28A anti tank pillbox with bolt ring in place. Forming part of Hoo stop line (GHQ line) anti invasion defences 1940. Facing north west. Description from record TQ 77 SE 106:
Concrete anti-tank pillbox type 28 facing west. Roof partially blown in. Hold fast remains. Part of the defences of the lodge hill ammunition depot. (1)

This feature is mentioned in the English Heritage report on the Second World War Stop Line in the Hoo Peninsula, part of the wider Hoo Peninsula study. The report states: "A concrete anti-tank Type 28 pillbox facing west, part of the defences for Lodge Hill Royal Naval Ordnance Depot and the stop line. Recorded as a roofless structure on 2011 (English Heritage) and 2013 (Google Earth) aerial photographs. Seen on a field visit in May 2015. There is a metal base plate for a gun emplacement on one of the embrasures. " (2)
