A Second World War pillbox (possibly a type 24) located at the edge of a field at TQ 8195 7767 to the west of Dagenham Farm. This pillbox is one of a number in a line located inland, running parallel to the coast, forming part of the extensive wartime coastal defences around the Thames and Medway rivers. This site was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. (1)
