Full Description

On 17 May 1941 225 Anti-Tank Battery moved to Adisham to man twelve six-pounder anti-tank guns on the Dover, Canterbury, Whitstable Stop Line. The headquarters were established at Woodlands Manor, a large house, evidently manorial in origin, at the far end of Woodlands Road, south-west of the village; 233 Anti-tank battery may have been here previously. Nothing is known of the wartime arrangements at the house.
