Summary
In late November 1939 ‘two incendiary bomb huts’ were ordered to be built ‘on the vacant land adjoining the Watling Street Car Park’ These were to be used to train civil-defence personnel such as wardens and auxiliary firemen in how to tackle ‘incendiary and high-explosive bombs.’
