Full Description

There was a Second World War Civil Defence warden’s post at 5 Clyde Street. It is not clear whether this was Post ‘D/5’ or ‘D/6’ initially, but by July 1940 the two posts had merged and this was the representative. This seems to have been an ordinary (or ‘Action Warning’) post, only manned on Action Warning, and was probably in a room of the house. It was in use until at least March 1943.
