Monument record TR 15 NE 860 - Second World War Civil Defence warden’s post on Lady Wooton’s Green, Canterbury
Summary
There was a Second World War Civil Defence warden’s post at Lady Wooton’s Green. This may have been an ‘advanced post’, manned continuously. Around May 1942 a special post was erected here, probably of concrete construction, for use under Nodal Point conditions. In a rearrangement of around April 1943, however, it was made redundant, seemingly because there was not much left to protect on Lady Wooton’s Green.
