Full Description
Early in the Second World War there was a civil-defence warden’s post (Post ‘E/9’) at 14 Manwood Avenue. This was an ordinary (or ‘Action Warning’) post, only manned on Action Warning. It seems to have dropped out of use perhaps late in 1940. Nothing is yet known of the wartime arrangements.
