Full Description
In mid October 1941 three additional Nissen-hut air-raid shelters were ordered by the Canterbury Emergency Committee, each to house fifty members of the public. One of these was placed in the ‘front garden of Arnett House, Hawk’s Lane.’ Arnett House had a number of important roles, both civil-defence and military during the Second World War.
