Full Description
Early in the Second World War a trench shelter was dug, in a chalk pit adjoining the Simon Langton School playing fields on Nackington Road, by boys evacuated from Erith to Canterbury. This shelter was apparently christened ‘Adolf’s Tomb.’ The shelter is thought to have occupied the site of the present swimming pool.
