Full Description
There was a Second World War Pillbox on the Bramling Road. This was one of three pillboxes in Bekesbourne, which, falling well to the south of the Dover, Canterbury, Whitstable Stop Line, may, at least in part, have been intended as defences for the intervening Bekesbourne Airfield, in Ickham. It was pillbox No.102 in the 1940 list of pillboxes in East Kent (2 December); it was in Sector 3 of the area, at the stated Military Grid reference R 647727. It is thought to have been demolished.
