Full Description
By late November 1941, the bridge over the Elham Valley Railway just south of Bishopsbourne Station had been prepared for demolition, on the event of an invasion, to create a roadblock. The railway may have been intended to serve as a kind of minor stop line. The charge was pretend ‘detonated’ during exercise GreatBinge.
