Monument record TR 16 SW 99 - Second World War Army Camp in Church Wood, Blean

Summary

A succession of Army units (often with headquarters at the nearby Kent College) made use of Church Wood during the Second World War. In the first half of December 1940 a hard standing was constructed in the wood. From mid 1941, if not earlier, there was an Army Camp there.
