Full Description

A very well-defined slit trench, composed of chevrons conjoined end-to-end and all-but enclosing a small, irregular area, can be seen in immediate post-war aerial photographs, toward the south end of a field between Honey Hill and Denstroude Lane, Blean. It is near Denstroude Lane, roughly midway between a Type 24 pillbox in a field to the north-west, and two brick-shuttered pillboxes near Honey Hill Farm, to the south. Its layout would have been ideal to provide covering fire for any of these pillboxes.
