Full Description

This roadblock, based on a bridge over the railway between Canterbury and Faversham, which was prepared for demolition, had been established, in case of invasion, by late November 1941. It was on a small track connecting Nickle Farm with a field to the south of the railway. This stretch of the railway seems to have been adopted as a minor defensive line, subsidiary to a new stop-line along the River Stour west of Canterbury, in 1941.
