Full Description
This roadblock was based on a bridge carrying Shalmsford Street, Chartham, over the railway between Canterbury and Ashford. The bridge had been prepared for demolition by late November 1941. It may have been among the many bridge demolitions in the area which were prepared that year, supplementing a kind of ‘stop line’ along the River Stour locally.
