Full Description
There was a Second World War Royal Observer Corps Post at Chislet (Military Grid reference R 664822), very near the village itself, on a slight rise overlooking Chislet Marshes. In late April 1941 this was found to fall ‘within an Army fortress or defended area’ - possibly defended by a local Home Guard unit?
