Full Description
In March 1941 there was a Second World War observation post just to the north of Island Road, opposite Upstreet Farm, toward the north-east end of that low spur of land, overlooking the marshes, upon which Upstreet and Hersden stand. The post provided information to āDā and āEā Troops of the 220 Battery of the 112 Field Regiment Royal Artillery, who manned guns further inland at Sturry.
