Full Description
Peter Hill recalls the presence, during the Second World War, of a Bofors Gun on St George’s Field at the location indicated. Another, written, source (reference misplaced) recalled that ‘in the playing fields at the top of St Martin’s Hill they had four sets of Beaufort [sc. Bofors] Guns’.
