Full Description
By late 1941 there was a Second World War roadblock at the south end of Northgate, at its junction with Broad Street – which locally formed part of the Inner Perimeter of the Canterbury Fortress. The roadblock may have been covered from an adjacent fortified house, on the west side of the street.
