Full Description
There was a Second World War roadblock on Whitstable Road, near the junction with Westgate Court Avenue. This was road block No. 45 in a list of permanent road blocks in the 43 Divisional area at the end of November 1940. It may have been associated with a fortified house at the same stated Military Grid reference.
