Summary

In late April 1942 the Canterbury Gas and Water Company Waterworks, onn Wincheap Street, were listed as a Type 4 Vulnerable Point. In mid may 1943 the waterworks were included in a list of ‘additional’ defended localities outside the Outer Perimeter of the Canterbury Fortress. The site was to be reconnoitred and a plan drawn up for its defence.
