Full Description
In mid May 1943 the Central Electricity Board premises on Broad Oak Road (Military Grid reference R 594774) were designated as a new defended locality outside the perimeter of Canterbury Fortress, and a plan was drawn up for its defence. This would certainly have required some defensive alterations or additions, but it is not yet clear what these were. Possibly some of the Electricity Board buildings would have been occupied.
