Full Description
During the Second World War, Canterbury West Station accommodated the ‘H’ armoured train. In mid May 1943 the station was designated as a new defended locality outside the perimeter of Canterbury Fortress, and a plan was drawn up for its defence. This would certainly have required some defensive alterations or additions, but it is not yet clear what these were.
