A building on the Whitstable Road, near the Junction with Westgate Court Avenue (Military Grid Reference R 581768) had been adopted as a fortified house by November 1940. This was fortified house No. 3 in a list of such structures made 2 December that year. It may have been associated with the road block on the Whitstable Road at the same Military Grid Reference.
