Summary

By mid September 1941 a fortified house had been established in the northern of two small square buildings (since demolished) flanking the entrance to an enclosure which seems to have been the ‘Mobilization Store’, adjoining the Cavalry Barracks, on Sturry Road. The ‘Mobilization Store’ was a Forward Post, just beyond the Outer Perimeter of the Canterbury Fortress.
