Monument record TR 13 NW 27 - Site of a former Barrow, near Horton Park Farm, Monks Horton

Summary

A barrow may have been located near Monks Horton, based on a 17th century map. The source, entitiled 'A Map of Land in Horton 1687' was drawn by Thomas Morris and shows a large mound with annotation 'The Barrow'. There is little evidence of such a monument remaining today, and it is thought that it may have been levelled by ploughing.
