The following information was derived from 'workhouses.org' website and needs to be verified. Hollingbourne workhouse mortuary is said to have been built in 1895? Associated with the Hollingbourne Union workhouse. The mortuary is the only surviving building, the workhouse having been demolished in the 1920s. [See MKE32951 for the workhouse]. There are associated records in the Centre for Kentish Studies and Canterbury Cathedral Archives.
