Important geological sequence record TQ 66 SE 52 - Buried late glacial soils found by borehole survey in 2003

Summary

In 2003 a borehole survey was carried out to discover if important late glacial (Allerod/Windermere interstadial) soils survived at the site as indicated by previous fieldwork. 40 boreholes were excavated but only 2 produced evidence of the soil.
