Monument record TR 36 NW 435 - Field boundary of probable Bronze Age date, and prehistoric flints, Manston Park Bungalows

Summary

A gully/field boundary of suspected Bronze Age date was found during an archaeological evaluation at Manston Park Bungalows, Manston Park, Thanet. The ditch was dated based on three sherds of Bronze Age pottery found within the fill. Flint flakes and a scraper of uncertain prehistoric date were also found at the site. Other finds and features at the site included service trenches associated with the construction of military bungalows at the site. A number of trenches also included rubble from these structures.
