Full Description

The remnants of a timber-framed cross wing to a medieval building consisting of an open hall structure beneath 100A. High Street. Nearly all the evidence for the hall had been removed during the construction of the present building. The cross wing is perpendicular to the hall, as was originally 'jettied' along the High Street façade. Timber shuttered window opening in the ground floor elevation. Opposing curving braces which are 'typical' of external elevation in Kentish timber framing.

Single piece of tin-glazed Delph pottery dated to the late C17th/early C18th.

Oyster shells, small-medium size butchered animal bones, and pottery sherds also found.(1)
