Monument record TQ 73 NE 309 - Possible park pale in Old Park Wood, near Groudurst
Summary
A woodland survey carried out by the Friends of Old Park Wood in 2009 recorded a number of archaeological features. Among these was a possible park pale. This was a wide bank forming the eastern boundary of the wood and marks the parish boundary between Goudhurst and Cranbrook. It may be of medieval or post-medieval date.
