Full Description
A dene hole found during a watching brief at the former Civil Service sports ground, Will Adams Way. Not explored and quickly refilled to prevent collapes.
A sample of pottery, bricks and animal bones from the material within the hole had a date range of c. AD 1550 to c. AD 1825. It is likely that the hole was filled in the late 18th or early 19th century. (1)
