Summary
In 2009 four boreholes were excavated to assess the survival of environmental evidence along the route of the Goudhurst Water Main Renewal Scheme. One of the boreholes, close to Goudhurst, revealed environmental evidence consisting of hazelnut, wood and plant remains 4-5 m below ground level.
