Monument record TQ 76 NW 733 - A Roman road leading to the waterfront

Summary

A cobbled surface aligned northeast-southwest was found during an evaluation on the Rochester Riverside development site. It was provisionally dated to the Roman period and identified as a road leading towards the waterfront, away from the Roman town wall to the southwest.
